Here's the latest from the EGirl website concerning version 1.5, which is scheduled for release in early Feb:

"EGirl v1.5 will include a new, more realistic girl, named Maia. She'll have more realistic hair and face, as well as lip-sync, for more realistic speech. Of course, Alys will still be included as well. We're excited to release v1.5, but have quite a bit to finish up in the coming weeks before it will be available for download."

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty excited about it.

Egirl Interactive is also releasing v 2.0 later this year.

Nov 2004 Heavenly Bodies

This is one of the most ambitious projects I've ever heard of. Nest Egg Studios is making a nice little game called Heavenly Bodies. What genre is the game you ask? Well, I'll tell you: It's an UMMUARPSPASSSG (Ultra Massive Multiplayer Universe Adult Role Playing Strategy Puzzle Adventure Sports Space Sim Game). You may learn skills, get a job, such as being a healer, or meteorology. There are numerous races and skills and an economy system, which are no different than in most RPGs, online or not. And certainly a common factor in all roleplaying games is METEOROLOGY. The game can be played in over 12 age settings: primitive, medieval, renaissance, classical, gothic, gilded, Victorian, low tech, modern, high tech, futuristic, and neo tech. Nothing redundant there. There will be vehicles for space, land, air, and water in TWENTY worlds and fourteen dimensions. Who knows what that means.

So how much of the game is complete? You can go to their website and hear music. Lots of it. Ah music, the first internet clogging media of any independent game project. And I'm a musician. (which is why this site periodically gets um, not updated).

If they pull this thing off, kudos to them. But even if they pull it off, will it be good, and fun? Here's what I suggest: Whittle it down. ALOT. Like 90%. And then create a core adult massively multiplayer role playing game. Simply taking the best concepts of commercial MMORPGs, and adding sex and adult situations, and you have a novel idea. Or at least the first of it's kind. These guys seriously need to master the concept of idea editing.
